Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and what we never do with it.

Placeholder — pre-launch. This policy describes the intended handling of personal information on members.wine. It will be replaced with the final, counsel-reviewed version before live customer transactions are enabled.
1. Who this policy covers
- Shops — the wine shops that sign up to operate a membership club on members.wine.
- Members— the customers who join a Shop’s club through a members.wine storefront.
2. What we collect
From Shops
- Account profile via Clerk (name, email).
- Shop details (name, slug, branding, club configuration).
- Stripe Connect account id for payouts.
From Members
- Name, email, shipping or pickup details.
- Subscription and order history with the Shop they joined through members.wine.
- Payment information is handled by Stripe and is not stored on members.wine servers.
3. How we use it
- To operate the storefront, member portal, and recurring billing.
- To send transactional emails (welcome, payment, fulfillment).
- To provide Shops with the data they need to run their club.
- To improve and secure the platform.
4. Sharing
We share member data with the Shop they joined; that Shop is the primary controller of that relationship. We use the following sub-processors:
- Stripe — payments and Connect payouts.
- Clerk — Shop authentication.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Hosting providers for application and database infrastructure.
5. Retention
We retain Shop and member data while the Shop has an active account and for a reasonable period afterward to support data export, dispute handling, and legal obligations.
6. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Contact hello@members.wine to make a request.
7. Security
We follow industry-standard practices for data protection. No system is perfectly secure; please report any concerns to hello@members.wine.
8. Children
members.wine is not intended for anyone under the legal drinking age in their jurisdiction.
9. Changes
We will update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, notify Shops by email.
